Started in the memory of Late Prof. S P Passi, a distinguished academician, with support from his children and grandchildren, the rural library is aimed at inculcating reading habit and care of books in children; make available suitable books to the youth; and sensitize the public in general and children in particular about their rights and duties as a citizen. Located in Dhanachuli, the library will benefit the villagers and schools in Dhanachuli and adjoining villages in Kumaon region in the State of Uttarakhand.
